What?: What’s Normal Anyway? a trans comic reading and discussion
Join Morgan Boecher, creator of What’s Normal Anyway? a comic about being trans male, as he reads funny and heartfelt scenes from his comic, recently published thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign. What’s Normal Anyway? discusses the trans male experience through the story of Mel, who takes the big risk of being himself and transitions from female to male. Stick around for a discussion and author signing after the performance!
Where?: Bluestockings Bookstore, 172 Allen Street, New York, New York 10002
When?: Saturday, November 30th, 7:00pm
How much?: FREE! Although Bluestockings always appreciates donations and bring $15 if you want to take a copy of the comic book home with you.
See you there :D
Wish I could go, but I live in Brazil. Maybe I’ll stick with Hector’s family!
BTW I love so much your comics. I’m a cis myself, but Mel is such a relatable guy and your comics really helped me to know a little bit of the trans world, and to realize that – just like Mel said in one comic – the best days are when you don’t even thimk about gender. We are all human, cis or trans, male or female or both or none, and we all want to be loved for who we are.
Again, thank you for your beautiful, lifechanging series! All the best from Rio, Brazil!
Thank you so much for exploring that world through WNA, and for getting the whole point about wanting to be loved for who we are :) I’ll let you know if I make it to Rio for a comic reading event!

Morgan! The prequel is progressing well. I find myself even more in anticipation than I was for the original (but not much, because my enthusiasm/anticipation was/is already at critical levels of awesome, and that might lead to an explosion from awesome overload).
Thanks so much for the feedback! So glad the prequel is working. I’ll be doing my best to bring you past those critical levels :)
Another save. Also, please come to New York in late Feb, early March. I’ll BE there then! :P
Who knows, maybe I’ll be living in NYC again soon! It’s not out of the question. New York is quite a magical place…
Hmm… I really like this comic! Its made my day happier! A++~ for you!! :]
When did Lil’ Skateboard get his degree?
Perhaps that’ll be answered in a later comic :)
