I love this one. I get this… enough of the time, and I just dress in baggy clothes. I’m still not sure if I liked being sir-ed or ma’am-ed better, since I don’t dress to comply with either. But this… I cannot stop loving it. I’ve read it more than once because it’s just resonates a lot with me. :)

Thanks! I’m glad you enjoy it :)
I’m still not being read as a guy to strangers yet, but I’m eager to see what that’s like. While I’m clear that I’m a man, I won’t deny that some gender ambiguity still creeps in. I hope you’re having fun with your gendered experiences!

I never seemed to get ma’amed, but being called miss happened often when I first transitioned. It will stop soon, don’t worry. Now I’m buddy or guy or son, even though I outgrew those terms many years ago.

I like to pretend they’re saying “Man.”
    “Here’s your change, man.”
    “Thanks, dude!”

I love this! Until about 1-2 months ago this was basically my life. A very few times I did get “sir” and it stuck, but that was few and far between. The worst is when they say “sir” and then take it back. Or just knowing how/if to correct them. I’ve learned that shouting “it’s HE!” in the middle of class is not exactly the best way to stay fairly unnoticed. And it makes for quite an awkward class period…

I did start getting “sir” basically 100% of the time a month ago, around my 3rd or 4th month on T. It still makes me smile uncontrollably sometimes. :)

Anyway, I just found this comic today and I love it!

Thank you for postin this. (I know it was over a year ago but I just found it today.)

I get misgendered all the frickin time and I have never found a good way to deal with it. It gets tiring tellin people over and over to call me sir. I’m goin on T soon and hopefully that will end that. Anyway, I really identified with this and helped me feel so much less alone.

LOL Personally people avoid pronouns around me generally because they seriously can’t tell. But soon I’ll be getting those Sir’s without question ;)
