Well, I’m not a doctor but my understanding is that if you’re transitioning at a post-puberty age, then hormone blockers won’t do much for you. The hormones from puberty would have already taken effect on your body. No one has to take hormone blockers to transition, but sometimes the masculinizing (or feminizing) effects of hormones are stronger if you do.
