I used to live in Gainesville and heard about this comic from an old mutual friend of ours. Back then I had barely an inkling of my own gender issues and I just kept the bookmark in my huge comic links folder. Now I’m immensely grateful to him for showing it to me and for the fact that I never deleted it. My own journey has been very different from Mel’s, but it has still shown me that I can face this, and it is worth doing.

Is this the end of mel’s story? This comic has been so important to me in my journey to understand and accept my gender identity. I came out to myself and the world as transgendered a year ago (or well decided that I wasn’t gonna hide who I was anymore). I found this comic in february and it’s been such a great help. In bad moments I’ve looked here. There’s a lot of recognition here and a lot I don’t recognise (since I’m not physically transitioning). Thank you! <3 And Good Luck with everything!

Have to admit, got a little teary to see the end of volume 1! I love these characters so much and its been such an amazing ride to follow your work so far. Can’t wait to see where you’ll go next!
